Second Grade Here Comes Brandon!

Brandon before he left for his first day of second grade! They had to leave early in order to have time to eat and get to school on time!

Thursday, August 20, Brandon started second grade! Ryan and I cannot believe that we have a second grader, it just doesn't seem possible. Along with a new grade, Brandon started a new school. Burcham, the last school he went to was Pre-K-1st and now East is 2nd and 3rd grades. I had never been inside the school before enrollment on the 18th and after we got home I was telling Ryan how different it is compared to Burcham. I suppose since his last school has Pre-K and Kindergarten, it had to look like it. The walls were all white and painted with animals and bright colors and just really colorful and fun. East looks like such a "grown up" school with brick walls and just mundane colors! I know it's the mom in me talking but it made me sad because it meant Brandon really is getting older.
On the first day of school Brandon and his dad went out for breakfast and then Ryan took him to school. Dad walked him in to help him take his supplies in and take pictures for me! Ryan told me that Brandon definitely seemed apprehensive which made me sad. I was soooooooooo happy to pick him up and hear all about his day. He couldn't stop telling me all about everything they did! His teacher is s sweet and I have heard all good things about her from other parents!! Brandon is ecstatic that his BFF Jackson is in his class, as well as Hunter, a boy from church and his class last year! I am looking forward to a wonderful and successful year!

Last Blast 2009

With Ryan working so much and us barely seeing him anyway, the week before school started, I loaded the boys up and went to visit my mom for about a week. We had a great time, not only with Mimi and Pappy, but I took the boys to the local splashpad 3 times and also to Chuck-E-Cheese (that was crazy and obviously a momentary lapse in judgement.) Brandon and I went to a movie one afternoon while the younger boys spent the afternoon with my dad, their Papa!
It was a nice getaway and I think a different fun for Brandon before school started! I only took pics at the splashpad, no time or extra hands at Chuck-E-Cheese.

Blaine and Britton were fascinated by the water shooting up from the ground
the buckets above dumped water on the kids' heads. Brandon loved it, the other 2 boys preferred to play in the water after it fell next to them.

Blaine loved it!

Big bro Brandon teaching Britton how to operate the water guns!

There was a water faucet that was like a shower, Blaine LOVED that one! The boys were waiting for it to come back on!

Britton took many snack breaks!

~Get Ready to Wiggle~

Because Brandon went to a Red Sox game I felt bad for the younger boys not getting to do something special this summer so we bought tickets to take them to a Wiggles concert at the BOK center in Tulsa. My head told me no but my bleeding heart won out and Blaine and Britton had an absolute BLAST! In fact, the concert was Sunday, August 2 and I can tell you honestly that 24 days later, they are STILL talking about it! NO JOKE! It was at least a week after the concert before Ryan and I played Wiggles music in the car or a show on the television...we were completely "wiggled-out!" The concert was good though. It was almost 2 hours of non-stop singing and entertainment and living with 2 Wiggles fanatics, Ryan and I knew all the songs and were singing along as well, only the boys danced though, that is where we drew the line! We took Brandon to see The Wiggles when he was about 18 months old and Ryan and I agreed that they just put on a great concert for the kids! Enjoy the pictures!! We weren't even out of Tulsa and Blaine was asking to go to the concert again. He still asks us randomly to go back.

Britton excited!

Blaine dancing!

this is how the boys were pretty much the entire concert, completely enamored!

after the concert....the boys were NOT happy that it was over!

We loves the Red Sox????

WE DO!!!!!
On Monday, July 20, Ryan, Brandon and I went to Texas to see the Red Sox take on the Rangers. The Red Sox lost but we still had a good time! It was really awesome to see the players we watch on television all the time, LIVE!
We got there early and Brandon and Ryan were able to watch the team warmup. We got to go down to the front rows which was cool! We had really good seats and Brandon had his glove but unfortunately no foul ball came our way.
A fun time was had by all though, depsite losing.
Now we cannot wait to go to Fenway!

A THIRD birthday and it was Elmo all the way!

Sunday, July 19th was Blaine's THIRD birthday!!! He requested pancakes for breakfast, which was no surprise! First thing when Brandon saw him that morning he said "Happy Birthday Blaine" to which Blaine replied back, "Happy Birthday Brandon!" It was so cute!. We went to church and he wore a birthday sticker on his shirt so everyone told him happy birthday. Ryan had told Blaine to say thank you when someone wishes him happy birthday so he just smiled at people at church and said "Thank You!"
We came home and the boys laid down to get ready for the PARTY!!! Blaine had a Elmo party and it was Elmo all the way!! I made Elmo invitations, cupcakes and a friend made an Elmo banner! At the party, we hooked up a sprinkler which most of the kiddos enjoyed and they also played on the playground toys! Ryan grilled hamburgers and hot dogs which were a hit!
Blaine got lots of new toys and have a really great day!!

The Kelley House

I am behind on posting and really don't know when I will catch up. Life in our household is CrAzY right now. Ryan is working, I don't really know how many hours, but I will just say that we only see him for supper and then he goes back to work. He is even sleeping at the office. He took a new job back in early Spring for Coaches Aid and his first responsibility was to design an entire new site and launch it when school starts in August. The task is big, huge actually, and they unfortunately are behind. Ryan is stressed about work and not seeing his family and I am stressed being a single mom for the past few months and the next few weeks to come, not to mention that I am hormonal... Needless to say, God is being talked and cried to a lot by me lately. The boys and I will be ecstatic to have Ryan back at the end of the month.
In other news, on the 20th of this month, I will have a SECOND grader. AHHHH! I cannot believe that Brandon is going to be in second grade and going to a new school! He is very excited! We went school supply shopping Friday evening and his backpack has been ordered! He already told me what he thinks he is going to wear on the first day. Baseball is over but since early June he has been taking piano lessons from an elderly lady from church. He wants to play the guitar so bad and we were advised by several music teachers that we know that piano is the basic and to have Brandon give us 1-2 years of piano and then he can start guitar. He is enjoying piano and Anne tells us that he is picking it up quickly!
Blaine turned 3 last month and is our easy-going boy! He is so much fun and you never know what he is going to bust out with...a song, a cute saying or just a hug! He is becoming more independent, wanting to brush his teeth, waiting a while longer before asking for help and insisting that HE do it, not me!
Britton is 20 months and you would never know that for the first 15 months he did nothing but scream all night and day. He is very enjoyable now and apparently Blaine thinks so too because they are playing together pretty well, most of the time. Britton skipped some of the baby things that Brandon and Blaine did since he is only 16 months younger than Blaine. He is talking almost as well as Blaine and does pretty much whatever Blaine does. It is pretty cute and I am so relieved to see them getting along before the princess arrives!
The boys are keeping me busy, which I need right now. I am 27 weeks and starting to feel it. I go to the doc Wednesday for my glucose test and I will schedule the induction date. My 3D ultrasound is the 21st and my mom is going with me since Ryan will be working. I am excited to see baby girl again!! She is moving like crazy! Britton thinks something fishy is going on when he's laying on me and she kicks hard. He raises up and looks at my stomach, the expression on his face is priceless! Blaine will just randomly come over to me and want to kiss the baby. It's very sweet! The boys really have no idea what's really about to happen! Oh the adventures...

I hope everyone is doing well!!
