Tuesday tidbits

it's been awhile and I am sure I will forget several things.

Brandon had his second and final academic bowl in 5th grade last Wednesday. Ryan was going to be out of town the whole week and I had already asked my sister in law to watch the two youngest so I could go and WATCH Brandon and his team. Monday morning came and by 9am I went from a spectator to the coach. I was a nervous wreck but I had a team full of 8 boys and they were awesome, not just in the competition but all had such great attitudes and behavior.
so proud of this guy.
The next day, I got this...
insert BIG sad face.
He is looking at playing in the band and plans on taking Pre-AP English and Pre-AP Math. No surprise there.

Blaine can now tie his shoes. I have to admit, I was getting a little nervous because he wears his cowboy boots every.single.day. so I wasn't sure if he would ever learn to tie shoes. I showed him a few weeks ago and sang him a little diddy and then last week he just busted it out all on his own!
He can tie shoes BUT he still adores his cowboy boots.
PJ day at school capped off with boots. I had to veto the belt and buckle for lack of belt loops and hips.
He has his sister to share his love of boots with.
she loves any chance she gets to wear cowgirl boots. She has nice boots and play boots.
PJ day for Britton for Dr. Seuss' birthday
These kids were total rockstars for me yesterday for a nearly 2 hour wait at the doc and lab.
Gracelyn knows the theme for her birthday in OCTOBER. So I picked up some Minnie Mouse earrings to excite her in hopes of them holding her over for the next several months.

she can play a kazoo now.

and bandaids cure all, even a finger with 9 splinters in it.

Spring Break is next week and the kids have a fun week ahead, spending most of the week with Mimi and Pappy and their cousin Aden. They are taking sleeping bags and smiles. I can't wait to hear and see pics of their adventures!

Neither of my kids went through the boot phase. But Ash did try wearing flip flops ALL year long.
