This past weekend was a busy one!!
We had the cub scout family campout at Red Rock Canyon in Hinton. We were supposed to leave Friday night and camp 2 nights but due to rain we didn't leave until Saturday morning and came back Sunday afternoon. This was the shortest camping trip we have gone on but our sons were the dirtiest they have ever been. Unfortunately I didn't get the camera out due to all the mud, I was afraid of more disasters. Just in one day, Britton walked into the middle of a mud puddle chest high and then took a nose dive. He was pulled out spitting and blowing muddy water. it was great. There went the only shoes he had with him so he went around the rest of the time barefoot. classy. Blaine followed the big boys around, he was a little shadow and all the boys (except big bro Brandon, of course) thought he was so cute and helped him along! Traipsing around with the big boys ended Blaine up in mud up to his knees with the other boys laughed while he had a BLAST! fantastic! Brandon rode his bike and conveniently "fell" into a mud puddle. (Funny how it was the only puddle actually on the pavement!) He was laughing the whole time and then was "accidentally" pushed into the creek. yeah right! We had a great time though, ate well as always, pork steak, baked potatoes and a full breakfast complete with eggs, bacon, hash browns, biscuits and sausage gravy! There was a promotion ceremony Saturday evening and Brandon was promoted to a "wolf" in the cub scout ranks! He is very excited! We have plans for a camping trip in Missouri with 2 of the families we camped with this past weekend. We cannot wait!
Blaine and I rushed to clean up as soon as we got home to go to a birthday party for his girl friend Hudson. It was fun but Blaine was the only boy there so he escaped to her play room, which has more than just dolls, thankfully!
Then Sunday evening was the children's choir concert at church. Mimi and Pappy came to see the show and we were so glad to see them! It was a great concert!
The Cub Scouts reciting the "Cub Scout Promise." Brandon's in the grey shirt, second from the right.
Brandon receiving his Wolf handbook and his elective beads (from his Dad, the Den Leader!)
The former Tiger cubs, now WOLVES!!!
Brandon, in the turquoise polo, waiting patiently for the show to start!
He's so handsome!
He's so handsome!
Singing his little heart out! He told me that he sang extra for Mimi and Pappy!
The 1st graders ensemble singing "This Little Light of Mine." They were seriously the best of the 1st-5th graders!
"Rock On!" This was his favorite!

Sounds like a lot of fun. Wish you had pics of all of them covered in mud. I bet they looked hilarious.
Sounds like a fun & busy weekend! Fun, dirty boys. Fabulous! I'm afraid I'd have a heart attack.
Cayson loved the "Rock On" song too. He kept squealing "rock on!" during the show.
