1. To say that life has picked up would be an understatement. We have officially started the "more than one kid with activities in more than one location" game. Today was Britton's first Blastball game and Brandon had baseball practice, and throw in a Parent/Teacher conference and an unplanned doctor's visit for Miss Gracelyn who was diagnosed with croup. We've eaten supper at 8:00 the last 2 nights. Our heads are spinning. In 2 weeks we will have 3 kids with 3 different activities.
2. I very sadly don't have pictures of Britton's first Blastball game because I had to miss because Ryan is the coach and had to be there. He took Blaine with him though and apparently Blaine became more than just a fan. Tonight Britton enjoyed batting more (what kid wouldn't) and didn't always run after the ball. Well in the middle of Britton's Red Sox team playing defense, Blaine marched out on the court and asked his dad, also Britton's coach, why Britton wasn't chasing the ball. Britton became defensive over the accusation so he began arguing with Blaine, on the court, in the middle of the game. Ryan had to break the disagreement up and send Blaine back to the stands. It's never a dull moment. Ryan did have a talk later on with Britton that he has to play both positions.
3. Baseball is starting and the first tournament is less than a month away! I am so excited and ready for this season. Brandon is playing catcher. He tried out and made it! We are so proud of him!
4. The little kids in the daytime love, absolutely love, to play hide n' go seek. With Gracelyn around though, no one's hiding spot is ever really a secret. The boys are at the age, or maybe they are just used to it, that they don't care. It's just as fun finding each other as it is being found.
Gracelyn had put on one of Blaine's costumes then took it off because it was slowing her down from running around the house.
5. Ryan and I had an entire day together Friday!! I'm talking leaving the house at 7AM for an eye appointment at 8, another appointment that afternoon, some shopping and Thunder game and getting home at midnight, because a Starbucks stop was necessary. I have no pictures of us but it was such a fun day, a rare day with just us. A huge thanks to my mom for watching the kids all day Friday and to my mother in law for watching them that evening and the next morning.
6. I went to the corneal specialist Friday morning. He was super pleased to see such improvement in my right eye, not even any more filiments (YAY!) My left eye however didn't look too great because the plugs had fallen out. He decided to permanently block the tear ducts to keep all moisture in so he cauterized all 4 tear ducts. The worst part, by far, was the needle of novacaine stuck in all four ducts to numb.
7. We went to Tractor Supply to get dog food. That place is like a toy store to the kids. They all begged to take these home.
8. This week has been a revival at church. Monday evening the preacher spoke over Proverbs 7. As the service was ending Brandon asked what a harlot was. Ryan and I were speechless to say the least. I told Ryan that's the downside to your child paying attention to the service. On another Brandon note, the kid just amazes me. He is so stinkin' smart, coming home and blowing me away with what else he's learned in school. He even volunteers for extra work that involves any kind of research.
9. Blaine's conference went great! He knows colors, shapes, letters, birthday, address, phone, plus some and is cleared for Kindergarten! His teacher said he definitely has an imagination, which totally didn't surprise me considering he is almost always in costume when he is with me. She did say he is quite a talker...he is his mother's son.
10. Gracelyn's speech eval was 3 weeks ago. She passed, barely but she did pass. The coordinator was concerned about her ears, not to mention the difficulty with her mouth muscles following her illness with botulism. She said to ignore that Gracelyn's peers were talking more than she is. It didn't reflect on G's intelligence. As long as she was able to communicate in some way then she was fine. We did have her tubes in her ears checked and sure enough they had slipped and the area around was inflamed. The doctor thinks there may be some improvement once the areas heal. Here's to hoping.

Surely Blaine wasn't in costume in the video. lol. Very cute!
Your video wouldn't play for me :( Sorry to hear G has croup. No bueno!
Anna just loves to play hide and seek too. Wish she could come over and play with your kids. She is always begging Noah to play it with her, but he's not that into it anymore.
