Tuesday 10, or 7!

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'll just say, Here were are again, Tuesday!

1. Last week was interesting. Our A/C completely went out Tuesday afternoon/evening-ish so after T-Ball and baseball practice, the little kids and I headed to my in-laws. Brandon chose to stay with Ryan. I think the hot house was worth it for the peace and quiet without his little sibs. Who can blame him? We had 6 fans plus a window unit donated to us by friends to help beat the heat.
While at my in-laws, I tried my best to keep the kids as busy as possible. The night we went over, they were just getting home from a week-long Alaskan cruise. I felt awful about being there, invading their house after being away on vacay. That was all the more reason to keep the kids occupied.
We met my best friend Sarah and another sweet friend at the splashpad Wednesday morning for the kids to play and moms to chat. Brandon played tennis for the first time on the courts behind the pad and loved it! I am excited to get him a racket to play together! The boy he played with told his mom that he couldn't believe Brandon did so well. I think playing baseball helped him with his hand-eye coordination.
Thursday morning I took the kids to the park. It was a park they'd never been to before, a huge one that Blaine said looked like a castle. We stayed until it got too hot for them (or maybe me) to stand.

Friday we hung out playing games, including go-fish with Nana's Peter Pan cards, for almost 2 hours. I was shocked the littles lasted that long but we all totally had a blast.

2. Britton is a go-getter. If there is a need, he is more than willing to fill it. While we were staying with my in-laws, Ryan's dad mowed and picked green beans from the garden and B3 was right there every step of the way. No one does anything alone with Britton around.

3. Speaking of mowing, the torch or better yet, mower has been passed down.

4. Ryan's sister loves to play golf so she took the boys to the driving range to share her love with them. I don't think she understood the boys' short attention spans. They lasted about 30 minutes but they have talked about it a lot since. Britton especially had a great time.

B2 putted his ball to the shade and G joined him.
5. Baseball regionals started last night. Sadly the team lost but we have another shot Wednesday.
coin toss. Brandon, far right,
 6. My birthday was Saturday. Ryan asked me what I wanted to do and my answer? just be together. It's been awhile since I had a birthday on a weekend and our family had been separated since Tuesday evening.
We planned to go to the zoo, thinking they were on summer hours, but it turned out the 8AM openings started July 1. So we took the kids to Semiole to the Jasmine Moran museum. It was so much fun. I have A LOT of pics that I still need to sort through.

7. "School" = FUN! for the littles. I know it won't last. Brandon does work daily too and while he doesn't complain, he also does squeal with joy.

I've got nothing else.
Have a great week!
