Tuesday 10

1. Parent-Teacher conferences for Brandon and Blaine were yesterday. They went wonderfully! I always have a pit in my stomach the day of. Something about (willingly) going to hear someone else tell me about my child, not necessarily knowing everything because obviously I am not there with them, only praying that they behave how they are trained, just makes me so nervous.
Anywho, both teachers said the boys were kind, smart, funny and great students. Brandon's teacher said he was very thoughtful and Blaine's teacher said he really does focus so well (and the notes in his lunch box make his day so don't forget them.ever.) I was very proud. I have a conference with Britton's teacher Thursday and I expect nothing different then the two boys before him, except possibly the funny part.

2. Gracelyn's birthday is fast approaching. The big THREE! Very unlike me, I didn't start planning her party in the summer, actually I began last week. very unlike me. This birthday has been hard for me because she is getting to be so independent. "me do it" is her most common phrase.
The theme is Hello Kitty so I took her out yesterday to take pics for her invite.

3. This has become a ritual every day while we are waiting for Brandon and Blaine after school. Britton and his sweet friend Casidee, who is in his class and on his soccer team chat it up while waiting for their big sibs. It is so sweet and I heard from Casidee's mom that Miss C has a crush on Britton/ NO WAY!

4. Ryan's mom directed Willy Wonka and we went to a performance Saturday evening. It was Britton and Gracelyn's first play and they had a great time and were very well behaved! Blaine told us very straight faced that it was a very funny show. Blaine appreciates humor anywhere he can get it.

Brandon was sitting across the aisle with a buddy.
5.My camera was dropped about a month back and the lens busted so I got a new lens this weekend, just in time for birthdays and holidays!

6.Speaking of new lens, Brandon took full advantage of a working camera at Britton's soccer game last night. He was my photog and boy did I appreciate him.
I love this. B1 on the job and B3 & Casidee totally cheesing.
7. While making a dropoff at Brandon's school to take him a cape for a Reader's Theater performance Friday, I arrive at the school and turn around to see Gracelyn reading to Lola. Unfortunately Lola wasn't being a very good listener.

8.Who read to me his library book and homework tonight?
THIS GUY!!
9. Our calendar is filling up quickly with soccer games, RA campouts (1), Scout campouts (4 or 5), birthday parties (2), holidays, a low-key bachelorette soiree for a dear friend and planning for a girls trip to Dallas the first weekend in January! I am glad to have Ryan and Brandon and my mom to help me/us!

10. Have a blessed week!
