His front teeth are chipped from falling face first down a flight of stairs.
Last Thursday Ryan took Brandon for his 6 month teeth cleaning and Blaine for his first checkup! Blaine was beyond excited! I first told him about it the day before and excitedly told him that Thursday was going to be a fun, full day for him because he was going to church (Mother's Day Out) and then right after he would go to the dentist, with Brandon! He ran over to tell Brandon the news and like the awesome big bro that Brandon is, he already knew but he acted totally shocked and elated when Blaine excitedly told him they were going to the dentist the next day. That melted my heart. Anyway, I told Blaine that he would have to open his mouth wide and do just what the dental assistant and dentist said. It helped that I told him who the dentist was because we go to church with him and Blaine knows him but didn't know that he was our dentist. So when he woke up Thursday he was super excited for his big day! He went to MDO and had a great time, painting and singing and then he had an equally fun time at the dentist! Brandon went first and Blaine stood by Ryan and watched intently! The office has televisions for the patients to watch so that was another selling point for Blaine that Brandon informed him of when Blaine told him where they were going Thursday. After Brandon finished it was Blaine's turn! Ryan sat him in the chair and he immediately asked for the tiger shades, not even giving the assistant a chance to offer them! He laid still and she explained everything she was about to do and he did just what she asked! Ryan said he was awesome (which I knew he would be because he is that type of kid!) The dentist came over to check his teeth and he has a little cavity on one of the back teeth so we have to make a follow-up to get that fixed. On the way out the boys got to choose a toy from the toybox. Blaine chose a travel etch-a-sketch and he hasn't put it down much since Thursday! He is getting so big!

Seriously, Blaine is such a good litle boy! Love that Ryan took pictures for you too!
That is awesome that he was "excited" to go to the dentist rather than fighting and dreading it! Hopefully that will last!!!
Aww, he looked so cute sitting in the dentist chair waiting patiently.
