Parade fun!!

Saturday was SWOSU's homecoming and the cub scouts always walk the length of main street in the parade so my mom and stepdad came out for the day to see us and help me with the boys so that we could go. I consider myself brave, but I draw the line at taking 2 toddlers and a newborn to something like a parade where I would have to corral the boys from running away from me or in the street...no, no way! The boys had an absolute blast. I don't really know what they liked best, although anyone who threw candy to them was a hit in their book (not necessarily in mine though.) They seemed in awe most of the time just watching the bands and clowns and big floats. Gracie just slept on me in the Moby wrap (best invention EVER!) She was an angel, not a peep! It really was fun and I am thankful to my mom and stepdad for coming out so we could all go because we all had a good time!
I am not a happy camper about my pictures. Apparently the boys decided to change my settings and I didn't even look so they are not too good.

the boys waiting "patiently" for the parade to start

Mimi and Britton

the scouts~ Wolves
(the ONLY "decent" picture I got of Brandon marching) He's the farthest back and his best friend Nathan in just in front looking at me too.

Britton and his sucker (his first or second? I'm not sure)

Brandon after he marched

my boys!
After 2 suckers, not only was Britton sticky (a bee was circling,) he was HYPER!

showoff

Our children!!!! (Have I mentioned how blessed I feel??)
And to prove that Gracelyn really did get out of the house Saturday, here is a picture as we were leaving the restaurant after the parade.

My great friend Sarah and her son were sitting across the street from us. Unfortunately we didn't notice each other until the parade was starting though or we would have sat together. She snapped some pictures of us from across the street. Thank you again Sarah!!

Looks like the boys had a blast. I could tell they were in awe at the beginning of the parade. Cayson was on cloud nine getting candy too... an unusual treat!
