Tuesday 7

1. On Friday we had many errands to run, one including returning a shirt of Gracelyn's at a shop about 40 minutes away and then eating at Taco Factory, a favorite of ours!
G yelled "shop" & the boys yelled "tacos"
2. After T-ball Friday night, the kids and I headed to OKC to see my mom and stepdad. As Brandon said, and the boys all agreed, it had been "forever since we've been there." We had such a fun fun time! My mom and I took the kids to the splashpad Saturday morning and they had a blast. After a day 'o fun it was time to leave and the American flag needed to be taken down. Pappy showed the littles the proper way to fold the flag. I was shocked that Blaine, especially listened so intently.
flag-folding lessons. Gotta respect Old Glory.
3. Swimming has been the best reward to get the kids to do their chores. If they complete their chores then they get to swim.

4. Blaine just cracks me up. You never know what will come out of his mouth and he almost always has a smile on his face, he just seriously loves life. He told me a story with an accent and wearing the blanket like this
and when I asked him why he told me he was in character. There is never a dull moment in our house and especially with this boy.

5. Since 3 weeks post tear ducts cauterization (closing them up in order to keep what little moisture I produce and artificial tears in,) I have been having major severe eye pain and discomfort. It turns out that 3 out of 4 tear ducts are open. After the specialist BURNED them shut. Yep that's me. He told us before performing the procedure that the body's natural reaction is to heal itself and that could happen after 3-10 years. My body healed itself after 3 weeks. lucky me. He asked if I wanted to recauterize and I replied that I would have 5 more babies with no anesthesia before I had it done again, even if he offered it for free. No way. So we put in plugs, that I had prior to the cauterization which were great, again. The plugs only last a month, if we are lucky but our local eye doc can put them in and we won't have to drive an hour for the 5 minute procedure Yay, I suppose.
Anyway, Ryan had to take me and since it was a Tuesday and my mom had to work I called a friend to see if she would watch Blaine. She insisted on watching Britton too which meant the world to me. The little boys had a blast, swimming, playing tennis and playing with their bud Benton.
Brandon and Gracelyn went with us to the doc. I bribed them to be good and they were, so we stopped at Steak and Shake to reward them with shakes I am not above bribes and I am very thankful that my kids are easy to please with simple little goodies. (As a kid my mom could bribe me with peanut m&m's. so like mother, like daughter, I suppose.)
"pink" shake fan!
chocolate fan!
6. I was busy finishing up supper and gathering Blaine's T-Ball uniform and noticed it was pretty quiet.
B1 was singing nursery rhymes to little sis.
since she was occupied, the little boys could play in peace. She is such a spit fire and can be quite mean to them.

7. Since baseball is our life, I can't resist a pic of my baseball babes. I heart them so much.

That's all I got. Fresh corn picking, more swimming, more splashpad fun, oh and how can I forget, baseball sums up the rest of our week. Have a great week!

Yay! I knew you'd like the baseball wreath. I can't wait to see the one you make.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who resorts to bribery. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Love that cute pic of your baseball kiddos!
