Goodbye, 3rd Grade

Wednesday was Brandon's last day of school, his last day of third grade. He told me Tuesday night that he was, "a little down about it." I didn't tell him but I was more than a little down about it. This year has been his absolute best year of school. He has always excelled in school, making straight A's on every report card and reading at a level at least 3 grade levels above his current grade. The thing is that Brandon can be emotional at times. Mrs. Harris was amazing and really knew how to turn it all around and keep class moving instead of punishing him as previous teachers did.
Brandon got in the car after the first day of third grade and exclaimed that Mrs. Harris didn't have favorite students! It started out great and just got better!! She told Brandon often that she knew he would do great things and couldn't wait to see what all it was. Like her, I believe he will do amazing things in his life, however I CAN wait to see it. With the start of fourth grade in August comes a school change. His new school will just be 4th and 5th grade. I need time to slow way down.

Ms. Nancy, the school secretary, also the glue that holds the school together. I just love her and appreciate her.

Oh.my.goodness! I didn't realize Ms. Nancy was THAT Nancy! I know her! So funny! Brandon is such a smartie and is going to be something big one day! Whether he's a doctor or a preacher, he'll be excellent. His emotions will make him an empathetic person which is wonderful!
