I received a letter in the mail a couple of weeks ago from "Prevent Blindness OKC" stating that Blaine had failed his vision screening at school. Brandon is in the 4th grade so he's underwent 5 vision screenings and I've never received this type of letter before so I was admittedly a bit alarmed and worried. However, having said that, I was expecting it with at least one of our children because while I have good eyesight (severe dry eye though), Ryan has really bad eyesight.
So Friday we took Blaine to the eye doc. He did well, he was fidgety but the doc said that was normal for little ones their first time coming. After the normal check like reading the chart and such, the doc put drops in. Blaine did fantastic and after the doctor said that B2 has astigmatism in both eyes, his right eye being worse.
We went out to the lobby to begin trying on glasses but quickly faced issues finding a pair that fit B2's small little size. Most of the child glasses extended all the way back to the back of his head. We finally found some that curved around his ear which fit great and Blaine liked and since he's pretty ornery and active we think/hope/pray that they stay on and in ONE piece.

I think he looks so handsome in his glasses! "Sharp" would be Cayson word for Blaine... seeing as we are striving to be as sharp as Blaine in our house. :)
He is too darn cute in those glasses! Love him!
It's funny how I never thought about this until I had a kid of my own...but I imagine any parent whose child has to wear glasses hopes/prays that they will last and not break or get lost! He looks good in them!
