1. Brandon is loving school. His loves his teacher and starts G/T (gifted and talented) this week ("finally" he says) and only has homework if he doesn't finish all of his work in the day, which Mr. Smartypants always does. We did warn him that on G/T days, since he's taken out of his regular classes for that class, he may have work to bring home. He isn't in class with his BFF Jackson but they meet up on the playground and apparently make plans to go to the archery range and other various adventures. They both sprung the range on their dads last Monday at Open House night. You never know what they will come up with.
Brandon is one imaginative kid. He is just so smart. Ryan and I are finally getting back to our monthly dates with the kiddos. I cannot wait for mine with Brandon later this week because the stories are endless.
2. Blaine had a great first week of school. He loves school, especially recess, has his BFF in his class, then after the second day of school, we signed up for soccer! He cannot wait. Blaine has been talking about playing soccer even before Brandon started baseball this summer. After I signed him up, we had our mom/Blaine date and went to Braums for ice cream!
2. Blaine's second week of school was equally exciting when he learned that he would be able to select a book and take it home to read. Now we visit the public library and check out book but he wasn't expecting to be able to do that at school. He got in the car when I picked him up and excitedly and very loudly (he gets that trait from me) asked if I knew that his school has a "libary" I said no way and he shouts "YES WAY MOM!" The next day he brought him a book titled Even Firefighters Hug their Moms. so sweet.
3. Blaine's school has an award they give called the Burcham Brag. Last Week, he earned 3! One was for using nice words, another for using his manners and the third, he couldn't remember what he got it for. I teased and asked if he took it off the teacher's desk. He didn't get it.
4. Britton's "school" or CDO (children's day out) starts this Thursday. He has been very excited and with his brothers being in school almost 4 weeks from when he starts his school, he's ready! We made a countdown!
5. With the awesome Fall-like temps we've been having this week we have taken full advantage and played outside a lot.

| B3's going straight to the big leagues. and his ears will always be warm. |
6. Britton and I had our monthly date last night. He chose McDonalds. With B3, he isn't full of conversation so I asked a lot of questions and was lucky to get more than just 1 words answers. We had a good time though and hopefully him getting some positive attention will curb his orneriness he has adopted over the past week in the destruction of a book, flushing his sister's toothbrush down the potty and various other mischievousness. never a dull moment here.

7. While playing outside yesterdaym Gracelyn was standing a bit too close to the baseball tee and got hit in the nose with the plastic bat. It was not a pretty scene with lots of blood and tears (tears from both G and me.) My mom warned me she may wake up with black eyes, thankfully she didn't, but does have a swollen red nose and just asking how she is prompts a conversation about the incident.
this video was later after the incident, last night before bed.

side-note: none of the boys have had a bloody nose. leave it to our princess.
8. I'd like to say that G's pacifier weaning is finshed...

| gotta have that reserve paci! |
yeah, far from it. I check that girl's bed nightly when I give her a paci and never can find another, but in the morning she always has two. And yes, I have laid her down without giving her one thinking she will use the hidden backup but she does not go to sleep. She cries then jabbers and sings. Then in the morning and the entire next day she is not pleasant because she hasn't slept enough.
9. My girls' trip is approaching and I am so excited. I know it will be great for all of us!
10. A friend sent this to me and I L.O.V.E. it. I am going to buy it. Its us.

This is a great Tuesday 10! I love the pics of Britton with his ear warmers. Dusty was cracking up too. The video of G is so stinkin' cute! I love the sign too. Great words to live by.
I love that you and your husband are taking turns to have dates with your kids. Now that G is a little older I'm sure that makes this easier. I'm keeping this idea in mind in case we ever have another child.
