Friday Brandon took his 30th list to school thinking that 300 was how many he needed to have lunch with the principal. He came home bummed because he was 50 books short and I told him not to worry that he would get there. He informed me that he would take 5 booklists to school Monday. Then he took his library books over to the recliner and began reading aloud. He got up often to go get more books and I could hear him reading to his brothers and me but I didn't really think anything of it. Next thing I know, about 3 hours later, he brings me all these books (some with several stories in one book) and tells me that there are 50 stories and asks if I will write them down for him! He was so proud of himself and of course so was I. Little stinker!
So today he and the principal scheduled a day for lunch, Wednesday! He is so excited! I am so proud! The next and final reading goal is 400 to throw a pie in the principal's face at the carnival in April.
