AND....that's a wrap!

Thursday was the first last day of school for Blaine and another end to a school year for Brandon. I made monkey bread for breakfast to celebrate a great school year and the start of summer. Ryan said he was certain the teachers appreciated our kids walking in sugared up before their parties started.

Blaine was in Pre-K this year and enjoyed it so much! He is a social, imaginative child. The teacher's assistant, Mrs. Boyd, told me when I picked him up one day that they interviewed the kids on a trip they'd like to take. Nearly all the kids just said Wal-Mart or the park. Blaine, on the other hand, came up with an entire camping trip to Colorado, full of fishing and canoeing and laying around in a hammock. That's our Blaine. He is more than ready for Kindergarten and when he talks about it, he usually mentions how he hopes to see Britton in the hallway while he's there. I wish I could see that interaction when/if it happens. I am sure it will be precious.

and yes, he is sporting boots with white socks and shorts. He asked me the night before and, well, it's called pick your battles. :)

B2 ready for the first day of Pre-K. Aug.2011.

Brandon had a fantastic 4th grade year. He is now testing at 10th grade,6 month reading and 8th grade math levels. Toward the end of this year he became more social. In the past he's been more of an introvert so we are glad he's branching out a bit. Brandon even wanted to go to a local church's sports camp every morning this week even though he didn't know anyone going. We are so proud of him.

I love that smile. He's hyped up on sugar, ready for more at his all-day party.
